Due to the low interest and missing resonance within the scene, the marketing right of the film was not extended with effect from August 28, 2022.
DIRECTORS STATEMENT
It is due to my friend, the novelist Jordan T. A. Wegberg, that I got involved in the Antaris, and due to his blog post that Uwe Siebert, the organizer of this festival, finally became aware of me.
In January 2019, Uwe handed me a hard disk with more than one thousand hours of archive material and asked me to create a filmic memorial of the Antaris. I had but a first idea of what the spirit and the often mentioned magic of this special festival was all about. My notion of psytrance music, psychedelic art and the psytrance scene was pretty vague.
Even though, in retrospect, I regret to say that the interview snippets I had put together to form an overall cinematic statement did not meet with any response, and the film became an outright failure, this work was instrumental in finding my personal integrity.
